I would like to know is Saturn a gas planet like Earth?
Saturn is a gas planet, although the Earth is not. The Earth is mainly made up of dense rock with an iron core, whereas Saturn mainly consists of a huge hydrogen atmosphere surrounding a small icey core.

I am having a test at school. Do you have info on asteroids?
This site doesn't currently contain much information on asteroids, although there is a good definition of an asteroid in the answer to a previous question.

Do you believe in evolution? If you don't those people who believe in that stuff are out of their minds. I have a tape that says you must get the facts. F the fossils don't lie. A apes confused to be ape men. C creation God created everything.T those people have got time trouble. I'm ten years old and I am proud to say that I don't believe in evoulution. I think it is important to respect everyones right to a different opinion. This is obviously a subject which is strongly debated by both sides, and under such circumstances it's essential to be open minded and to understand the facts. Hey um what is the distance between Earth and Mars????
This varies depending on the exact positions of the planets, between a minimum of 78 million kilometres and a maximum of 378 million kilometres.

Hi, My name is Misty and I would like to see if you could help me on just a few things. I am doing a project on the solar system and I can't find this information that I want anywhere. (You must think I'm crazy).
- What does revolution mean and rotation mean?
- Why are the average temperatures of each planet so varied?
- Definitions of - asteroids, meteors, meteorites and comets?
- When the planet rotates, what changes are there?

They have quite similar meanings. If an object completes a
single revolution it means that it has spun round 360 degrees,
and is back to where it began. Rotation means that it is
spinning around a certain axis.

The average temperature of a planet depends on many things.
The distance from the Sun is of course very important, but it
also depends on how much energy is reflected by the planet
(how bright it is), the composition and density of the
atmosphere and the amount of radioactive elements in its core.

This is a good question. There are small differences between
each of these terms. An asteroid is a lump of rock, travelling
in space which is too small to be called a planet. Asteroids
which are on a collision course with Earth are called
meteoriods.
These meteoriods enter the Earth's atmosphere and burn up due
to friction. This is a luminous phenomenon called a meteor,
commonly known as a shooting star. A meteorite is a part of a
meteoroid that survived its journey through the Earth's
atmosphere and has been found on Earth.

When a planet rotates it can result in the planet being
distorted from a perfect sphere into a slightly squashed one
because of the centrifugal force. Spinning also created a
dynamo effect in planets with cores containing iron which
generates large magnetic fields.
