The Virtual

Solar System

Guestbook

I am going to live in Antarctica soon, so I'm afraid I won't be able to answer any more questions about the Solar System.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave a message up to now. The most recent guestbook entries are listed below, in reverse chronological order. My replies are shown in purple.

Good morning sir! I want to know major axis and minor axis of all planets and of our moon in our solar system. The orientation of orbital planes of every planet and moon with that of our earth, revolving speed and spin period of all planets are also required. Requested to give this scientific data. Thanking you.

Most of the information you need can be found in the Datastore section of this website. For help understanding exactly what the numbers mean, take a look at the Datastore help page.

What is it called when the planets are all lined up?

When several of the Planets line up on the sky it is known as a planetary Conjunction, or planetary alignment.

Excellent. Your scale model is first class, I didn't realise the distances between planets was so vast.

Hi, im Andrew aged 13 and I am really interested in Astronomy. I think your site is great. It is fun and informative and the scale model is really realistic. Thanks for making such a great website!

I find your website very nice. I used to read a lot on astronomy, so I do know some of the facts already, but the other facts were very interesting for light reading and information. The scale model is a very good idea to really depict the vastness of our solar system, let alone the universe. Please do keep it up!
